Brass Leaf with Goddess Lakshmi Idol Diya
The brass statue of Goddess Laxmi is seen hoisted on a betel leaf (Indian pepper plant) with an elevated space to light up. The blacked leaf has green tints around the diya, while the goddess is shown in gold with vermillion red body. The four arms of the Indian goddess represent ‰ÛÏdharma‰ or righteousness, "kama" or desires, "artha" or wealth, and "moksha" or liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The betel leaf too bears religious significances of freshness and prosperity.
